Germany: Back to old haunts

[Mystique]

OOC: Thread open for Spiral or any other unthreaded villain to jump into. Doing a bit of offscreen recap, Spiral, but leaving it open for additional ideas.--K

IC:

It had been months since the debacle in Sapporo. Debacle was likely too harsh a word, but that damnable robot had made life a nightmare. Mystique was more than happy to be back in Germany in one of the homes she had owned with Irene Adler. Sabretooth was off having a chat with some robotics expert in Munich, and Raven was awaiting Spiral's return to their temporary home. 

"At least this place doesn't smell like fish!" Mystique said as she looked out at the courtyard of the mansion. Yes. Mansion. Mystique and Destiny had put away a tidy sum of money over the years, and properties like this one near Berlin were part of her portfolio.

"And I hope Vic doesn't rip that scientist's head off," she said as she sipped her glass of Riesling. "I don't need to clean up any of his messes today!"

[Spiral]

Spiral approached Mystique and stood next to her. She was more than happy to be with the other woman since she
wasn't Mojo. *My companion isn't a spineless creature. She also does not enslave others for high television ratings*
the six-armed teleporter thought. A smile materialized on her face. ''Everything seems tranquil here,'' she said to
Mystique.

A curious expression replaced her smile. ''What are our current plans, Mystique?'' She stretched every arm and
relaxed. Her eyes remained on Mystique as she waited for the latter's reply.

[Mystique]

"Well, once Lady Mastermind is awake and Sabretooth is back from his visit to Dr. Robotenstein, I think it's time to go on a bit of a shopping spree," Mystique said as she looked at Spiral. "Yes, Regan is still feeling off since her encounter with Omega Red. Drama queen. And sorry for the Robotenstein joke. I just pray Vic brings back useful information and not someone's head on a plate."

Mystique was glad to have someone to talk to as she sipped her wine. "I've had this property for years. It's one of the few places that the X-Men and SHIELD don't know I own. And if I have my way, that will always be the case. Now, about that shopping spree..."  

Raven went to a table, set down her wine glass and grabbed a tablet computer. She called up a file of pictures and handed it to Spiral. "When I go shopping, I tend to go for weaponry and property. But to get that, we'll need to be subtle and efficient. I'd love your input on the weapons in that portfolio. Anything strike you as a must buy?" 

 

[Spiral]

''A shopping spree?'' Spiral inquired as she shrugged every shoulder. The mental image of Sabretooth returning with
someone's head on a plate never shocked her. He seemed like the type with a sadistic sense of humor. ''You're fortunate
to own property such as a mansion. I AM property in Mojo's world!'' Spiral said while she frowned. That was when she held
the computer and saw multiple pictures of various weapons.

''Some of the swords look nice. A few dagger hilts are beautiful as well. Ohhh! How about the cat o' nine tails whip?
So many ways to inflict pain! Let's purchase the dagger with the jeweled hilt. Short knives are quite easy to conceal,''
Spiral said.

[Victor Creed]

"Before you two go buying out the store," Sabretooth said as he walked up to Mystique and Spiral, "we need to talk. That robot guy was a flake. Wasn't even worth the kill, so I left him sitting in his own puddle of..."

"We get the point," Mystique grumbled as she looked at Creed. "What did he say?"

"Said this has all the markings of a Doombot. Big whoop. We knew that. Then he started to mention some guy named Alvar who is apparently either dead or missing. Seems Alvar makes these stupid things. Crazy man also mentioned the dimension Alvar might be hiding in. I think the moron pissed off Doom, and that's why he split. Some place where the MacFeorais rule the freaking planet."

"Oh, isn't that just a joy!" Mystique replied as she turned back to Spiral. "If we find this lovely little dimension where this Alvar is, could you get us there?"

"Yeah, can the brain parts in this thing help" Sabretooth asked as he held the robotic Macha head in his hands. "Maybe if we hook them to a computer?"

 

[Spiral]

Spiral turned her head when she heard Sabretooth and seemed neutral. ''A Doombot?'' she muttered while she looked puzzled. She placed one hand under her face and shrugged two shoulders. Spiral shook her head since she wasn't familiar with Alvar.
Mystique's question caused her to seem thoughtful. ''I might be able to locate Alvar's dimension, but I sometimes require Mojo's help to navigate safely through worlds.''

[Mystique]

"Oh," Mystique said to Spiral as she frowned at the mention of Mojo's name. "I would think you'd want to avoid him like the plague. We better think of another way to do this then."

"Great. You got some interdimensional portal sitting in the closet?" Sabretooth asked as he slammed the Macha head down on a table. 

"Will you let me think, Victor?" Raven snapped as she looked at the stupid robotic head for a moment. "Doom. If Doom wants this Alvar person back, maybe we can go get him for Doom. Or at least we can use Doom's technology to get there. Anyone up for a trip to Latveria?"

[Spiral]

''I guess my ability to travel between worlds and requiring Mojo's help is his way of controlling me,'' Spiral said while she shrugged two arms. Mystique's comment about her wish to avoid Mojo like the plague caused her to frown. ''Believe me. I usually try to avoid that spineless creature. Although he sometimes trapped me on Earth as punishment for my sharp tongue, perhaps remaining in this dimension was a blessing in disguise. I can't hear Mojo or view him here! Sometimes he would remind me that humans would loathe a six-armed freak of nature like me.''

Spiral glanced at the Macha head on the table and heard Mystique while she mentioned Doom. She seemed neutral after the shape-shifter asked about a trip to Latveria. ''I'll see if my dimensional portal will enable us to get there safely. Hopefully we all won't be in a dimension where our enemies are rulers.'' The time-dancer proceeded to gesture with every arm until energy beams emerged from all six palms and formed a portal. ''We should be able to find ourselves in Latveria.'' 

[Mystique]

Mystique nodded to Spiral as she looked at the portal. She was not thrilled about dropping unannounced into Latveria, but maybe bringing the stupid Doombot with them would ensure them a more cordial welcome.

"Victor, bring your mechanical friend," Raven said as she looked up at the mansion's top floor windows and shook her head. The shapeshifter cupped her hands to her mouth and yelled up at the upper floor. "Mastermind! Are you awake yet?"

A window opened, and a shoe came flying out.

"I guess we better wait," Creed said as he bared his fangs in a grin.

"I guess," Mystique said as she rolled her eyes. "Spiral, have you ever met Victor Von Doom?"


 

 

[Spiral]

One of Spiral's eyebrows arched after a shoe was thrown. ''Mastermind and Mojo would get along quite well since they both like to throw objects,'' she said. She turned to Mystique after the shape-shifter asked if she met Victor Von Doom. She shook her head back and forth very slowly. ''I don't think I came across this Dr. Doom fellow. If he's very powerful, Mojo would probably wish to use him in a poorly thought out action television show.''

[Mystique]

"Oh, I'm sure Mojo would," Raven said as she thought about Spiral's comment on Doom's potential, at least to Mojo, as a starring attraction for his television enterprises. She then turned to see Lady Mastermind finally making her way out the door. "Watch where you toss your shoes next time!"

"I didn't hit any of you, did I?" Regan blurted out as she looked at the portal. "Where to now? Monaco or the south of France, I hope."

"Latveria," Mystique said as Mastermind backed up toward the door again.

"Friggin Doctor Doom? Why? Did the robot tell you to go see him?" the illusionist asked as Mystique started to laugh. "And you want me to illusion us into his castle, right? Sure. Easy as pie. Do I look like a moron to you three?"

"We have his robot, so I'm sure we won't have any problem getting in," Raven replied as she nodded to Spiral. "Are we good to go?"

[Spiral]

''I don't think Mystique or I would be thrilled if one of your shoes managed to hit us, Lady Mastermind.'' Spiral nodded at Mystique after her question. ''To answer your question, we are good to go.'' Regan's early action of backing up toward the door interested her. Spiral began to tilt her head to one side. ''Why are you terrified of Doctor Doom?''

[Mystique]

"I doubt Lady Mastermind does terrified," Mystique said with a smirk as she looked at the blonde illusionist. "Or is Spiral right?"

"I am not thrilled about seeing that old freak dictator, no," Regan grumbled as Sabretooth started to laugh. "And what is so funny?"

"You are. You always are," Creed replied as he looked toward Mystique and Spiral, hefting the robot's body onto his shoulder and tucking the head under the other arm like a basketball. "So, we off to see the wizard then, Spiral?"

"Let's just get this over with, shall we?" Mystique said as she looked toward the six-armed teleporter. "I may not be afraid of Doom, but I really don't want to hang around his castle for a dinner party either."

[Spiral]

Spiral's eyebrow was raised in interest after Regan revealed she had no desire to view Doctor Doom. She was suddenly curious about Regan's past with Doctor Doom. Perhaps the other woman would reveal all in due time. The sight of Sabretooth carrying a robot and head amused her. Smirking, Spiral focused on him for a few moments. ''We're good to go,'' she said.

[Mystique]

Mystique wondered how they had gotten stuck with the drama queen version of Lady Mastermind.  She had not been this bad during her stint with the X-Men. Maybe Sinister or Wesker had ripped out her common sense while she had been working for them.

"Thank you, Spiral. It's great to have a professional on the case," Mystique added as the teleporter opened a conduit to Latveria. "Vic, maybe Doom will let you keep the head at least. Then you can punch it to your heart's content," she added as the quarter walked through the portal and onto Latveria soul.

TBC everyone in this thread to the Latveria post in this forum. Lex will be taking over Sabretooth in short order. I need to fill him in on a few plot points regarding Mr. Creed.
