Mystic War prelude: Different Drum

[Erinyes]

OOC: This is not the same place Omega Red is being held. I will cross over Cece Reyes, Banshee and Sage to this thread now.

IC:

Blink opened a portal that led from the Crystal Palace directly to the med bay at Graymalkin Industries. Nocturne, Major Domo, Erinyes and her brothers, Joshua and Jericho, made their way into the med bay, and Cece Reyes rushed over. Blink suddenly stopped when she saw Sean Cassidy in one of the beds. "Banshee?" she asked as she walked over to him and gave him a hug. "I had heard you were back, but I didn't believe it."

"And I heard Major Domo was with us now," Banshee replied as he looked past Blink to the expatriate from Mojo's domain. "And Omega Red is apparently here as well, so things keep getting stranger and stranger."

"Cece, please, these are my brothers, and they need help," Erinyes said as she motioned for Joshua and Jericho to come closer. "Joshua banged up his hands, and Jericho, well, that's going to be a bit trickier. He got bonded with a demon."

"Hold the phone," Cece said as looked at the brothers and shook her head. "I need to get some help down here. I am not qualified to treat mystic ailments or curses. But sit down, guys, and let's at least get some scans done."

Erinyes went back to Major Domo and tried to smile, but it was hard. "I don't want to send them back there any time soon, but I guess it couldn't hurt to find out if we can one day. Do you think that drill and explosion caused this mess when we left, Major Domo?"
 
 

[Major Domo]

Major Domo stepped out of the portal with caution. He began to tilt his head in confusion after he viewed Blink embracing Banshee. He shrugged, since he wasn't sure who Banshee was. Although he sometimes had access to videos of Earth from Mojo's world, he couldn't keep track of every villain and hero. Major Domo's eyes became wide as soon as Banshee mentioned him. He tilted his head another time.

''How do you know about me?'' Major Domo asked Banshee. He heard the mention of Omega Red. That was when he shrugged again. ''I have no idea who Omega Red is,'' he muttered. Major Domo started to focus on Erinyes. ''It's possible that the drill and explosion started everything.''

Cece wanted to get a cup of coffee and just disappear for a bit, but the new arrivals made that idea a very unlikely one to happen any time soon. "Uh, Sean?" she asked Banshee as the Irish X-Man looked toward Major Domo. "Data files?"

"Yes, since I never had the distinct displeasure of visiting Mojo's world," Banshee said as he looked toward the android, "I read about you in our database. Emma Frost filled me in a bit on what's been going on around here," he added as he tapped his temple, "so I'm not wandering about as thick as a plank. She told me you'd arrived here and are with the team now."

Cece walked over to one of the communicator consoles and opened a channel around the base. "Any mystic doctors on site, please report to the med bay." After she turned off the unit, she walked toward Jericho and Joshua. "Gentlemen, let me start those scans."

"We need to find out what that drill was doing in the camp," Joshua said as Cece started to scan him.

"No, we need to regroup first," Erinyes said as she stayed close to Major Domo. "I have no idea who this Omega Red person is either, but his name alone sounds scary. " 

[Major Domo]

Major Domo tilted his head to one side after Banshee mentioned visiting Mojo's world. ''You were in Master Mojo's world? I would have remembered seeing you. I'm usually with Mojo when he enslaves others. I do not remember seeing you at all. Unless you weren't enslaved. You said you visited his dimension.''

Major Domo turned to Erinyes and shrugged. ''I usually know a lot about other mutants. Other superhumans to become Mojo's so-called actors. I should know about Omega Red, but I don't. Omega Red sounds like the type to ''star'' in one of Master Mojo's action films. Maybe a horror picture.''

"I think Banshee said he didn't make it to Mojo's world, right?" Cece asked as Sean nodded to her in reply. "He just read the files in the computer, Major Domo."

"No, that was one disaster I avoided," Banshee replied as he watched Cece doing tests on the newcomers. "But what I read was very disconcerting."

"Any place that has slaves is a nightmare," Erinyes said as she turned to look at her brothers being treated by the medical staff. "And I am glad we are free of it, Major Domo. But you are likely right about this Omega Red person. I'm sure Mojo would have loved to have someone with a name like that on one of his shows."

"Oh, assassins with long coils that kill people would have been a plus for that maniac Mojo," Cece added as she looked to see if any of the mystic doctors was coming to the med bay, but none had arrived yet.

[Major Domo]

''Consider yourself fortunate to not live in Mojo's dimension. Spineless Ones such as Mojo control everything there. Well, the one with the highest ratings. That would be Mojo. Those with spines are the ones suffering in Mojo's world. They tend to be slaves or unwilling actors in hazardous television programs,'' Major Domo said to Banshee.

Omega Red seemed like the perfect assassin for Mojo. At least based on what Major Domo heard about him. He never personally came across the Russian. Omega Red would be almost as deadly as Spiral.

"Any mystic doctors on site, please report to the med bay, now!" Cece said in a very impatient tone over the comm once more before looking over at Erinyes and Major Domo. "And yes, I think we are all very lucky we didn't end up with Mojo running the show in this world, bad pun absolutely intended. I'm actually sort of shocked he hasn't sent anyone here to fetch you two," she said to the android and his companion. "Then again, maybe Spiral never made it back to his dimension either. Not that I like her, but I wouldn't blame her for not going back. I just don't want her showing up here."

"We could not agree more, could we, Major Domo?"  Erinyes said in reply to Dr. Reyes' comments. "No one needs to have Spiral showing up on their doorstep. You don't think she'll be able to follow us, do you, Major Domo?"

[Major Domo]

Cecilia's impatient tone was why Major Domo's eyes widened a bit. *I'm with the X-Men right now. I should be used to chaos* he thought while he frowned. Major Domo concentrated on her for some time. He began to scowl after her comments about Mojo not sending anyone to fetch him with Erinyes. He shook his head in a disapproving way.

''Never underestimate Mojo. He might be aloof sometimes, but never anger him. Mojo is quite dangerous when he is enraged. I know from experience,'' Major Domo said. Memories of Mojo scratching his back due to slaves fleeing caused him to wince. ''Mojo always gets what he wants. He always sends slave hunters to capture his property.''

Major Domo glanced at the doorway. There was worry in his eyes. Spiral didn't have to use doors to enter places. She was capable of appearing in the blink of an eye. All thanks to her ability to teleport. He expected her to appear any minute.

Major Domo faced Erinyes. ''Spiral never quite surrenders. She will travel through time and space to capture us. Remember. Spiral does not always obey Mojo. She will most likely kill us slowly and painfully.'' He saw the doorway another time.
