The setting was a small pub down the road a ways from Raven's Rock. Then again, in Ireland anyway, down the road a ways could mean anything. Nick Fury was growing impatient as he drank his whiskey, wondering why Logan and his redhead had not arrived already. Then he looked up and likely saw the reasons why.
"Cut the crap already and get me to your mother," Nick growled as he stared up at Gabriel MacFeorais and Eileen Kennan. They had been working for that lunatic industrialist Lex Luthor of late, but Nick knew Gabe was a mama's boy at heart. He had to know where Kari and Logan were hiding at the moment.
"Mother always said you had a way with words," Gabriel replied as he grabbed one of the chairs, turned it backwards and straddled it. He motioned to the barkeep for two more glasses. "I thought you were out of the business, Nicholas. Or are you looking for my mother so you can buy a horse?"
"I need to speak to Wolverine, and they are tied at the hip now, so I figured you might be able to point me in her direction," Fury added with a grimace as the bartender handed the glasses to Eileen. "So, you two still working for Baldy Luthor?"
"Mr. Luthor employs us from time to time, but we are between assignments," Gabriel noted as he took the glasses from Eileen and poured them both some whiskey. "Now, why do you want my mother and Logan?"

OOC: I also need to find the bio for Gabriel (aka The Hand of Fate), but he was intended to be Kari's first born child the way Lewis/Lex created him and is the son of an unnamed Celtic god. He was raised by Kari's father and mother. I am going to be vague about that for now. He did rescue Livewire/Eileen Kennan from Weapon X in a previous game, and we kept the two together as a couple here.

Gabriel looked at Eileen and rolled his eyes as he handed her a glass of whiskey. "My mother and her whereabouts are none of your concern, Fury," the eldest MacFeorais son said as he swirled the amber liquid in his glass.
"And your turn as an assassin makes everything my business, you self-righteous punk," Fury growled as Gabriel got up and caused his chair to tumble backwards. "I know all about your secret society and the oaths and nonsense."
"So says the man who let HYDRA into SHIELD," Gabriel replied as Eileen set down her glass and got between the two men. "How does Rogers really feel about that?"
"Enough you two," Eileen said as electricity sparked from her fingertips. "Why do you want to see Kari? Because Agent Coulson wants to talk to her, too, and if Director Stark sent him, then you may need to wait in line."

"You two live to annoy me, right?" Fury said as he poured himself more whiskey. "I don't need to explain myself to you. I just need to see your mother before she and all of you get yourselves into a boatload of trouble."
"Like you and SHIELD won't get us all into trouble?" Gabriel replied as he rolled his eyes again before motioning to the barkeep once more. "You do realize what this place is, right? The Dal? The Switzerland of mystic bars where no one can cross another? Human, mystic, mutant or alien."
"You have got to be kidding me," Fury added as he crossed his arms and looked even more perturbed than he had been before. "I pick the one place in the universe where Logan actually won't show up? I'm outta here!"

"Nick, you're interrupting my down time, and it's pissing me off."
Wolverine was never usually happy to see Nick Fury, but today he really didn't want to see the old spymaster at all. "Red and I got your little message, and your timing sucks." Karenza followed Wolverine into the Dal Riata and went to the bar to get Logan's special stash of whiskey. "What is it now, Fury?"
Before he could answer, Fury looked up at a TV behind the bar and saw a live feed of Avengers Tower exploding in Manhattan. "The fuck..." was all he could say before Wolverine turned to the screen and watched with everyone in the bar as Earth's Mightiest Heroes seemed to be under attack once more.
"Red, we may need to get back home," Logan said as he heard the sound of breaking glass behind him. Kari had seen her sister Adaryn on the screen already, and she had dropped the glasses she was carrying over to the table when she saw what was happening back home.

"At least I didn't drop your whiskey, Logan," Kari said as she looked up at the TV to see The Hulk carrying her sister to safety. "And thank the Goddess for favors large and small," she added as she looked back at Fury. "Make it fast. I need to get to Adaryn."
"I need to know which one of your nitwit family or friends decided to raid Area 51 and take a boatload of weapons," Fury said with a grimace as he pulled out his phone and proceeded to show his four companions a video of someone breaking into a warehouse in Roswell. "That bird routine usually means one of your clan," he noted as a man on the video turned into a raven and flew away after stashing what he had taken into a mystic pocket dimension.
"That bird routine, as you call it, Nick, means the person is likely a tengu demon," Kari replied with a very soft growl in her tone of voice. "He is not necessarily MacFeorais or DalCais. If you can get me a picture that is a bit more clear, it would help."
Kari looked at Gabriel and smiled as she walked over and gave him and Eileen a hug. "Can you see what this is all about until I check on your aunt? Tony Stark is not her biggest fan, even if she is the mother of two children that consider him their father. Strange is there, so things are likely fine, but I'm sure your cousins are scared. Niamh has been having nightmares about her mother..."
"Dear God!" Fury snapped. "We have some demon stealing weapons, and you're worried about a tweenager's nightmares?"
"If you understood Niamh's powers, you might be worried, too," Kari replied as she glared at Fury.

"I can check on Niamh if you want," Eileen said as she started to walk toward the TV and winced as she watched another chunk of Avengers Tower fall. "I...I..."
"Eileen lost friends on 9-11," Gabriel said as he walked over to his lady and slipped his arm around her shoulder. "Those pictures hit a little too close to home. You should check on things there, Mum," Gabriel added as he looked back at Fury, "and we can talk about the tengu. Mr. Luthor would likely want to know about the intruder. He does have a few mystic holdings that might be tempting to that sort of thief."
"I'm sorry. It still freaks me out," Eileen said quietly as she looked back up at the screen. "Those poor kids, " she continued, her Boston accent getting thicker as she kept looking at the TV above the bar. "I don't care if they have powers. They must still be scared for their mom."

"Adaryn has lived a lot, and I am sure she will make it out of this just fine," Kari said as she glance over at Eileen, "but she'll put the kids first and forget to go to the hospital."
"Can't Strange just zap her back to health?" Fury asked as Kari glared at him again. "Well, you are all as old as Stonehenge, right?"
"Some older, some not so much, all decidedly able to die, Nicholas, if push comes to shove," Kari replied as she turned to watch the screen again. "Logan, Avengers turnout there seems to be very low. We're going, and Stark can kiss my arse if he has a problem with me checking on my sister and her children."
"And what about my tengu problem?" Fury asked again.
"Maybe Ryu Harada can be of help?" Kari said as she pulled out her phone but then stopped. "You have his contact info. What the hell was I thinking?"

"You can get to Ryu, can't you, Gabe?" Logan asked as the Hand of Fate nodded to him. "Good. See, Nick, problem handled. Now, we gotta go before Stark does something he can't undo. We both know he's be kinda twitchy lately."
"Yeah, I think he's afraid that Irish version of the Cosmic Chicken is going to come after him again," Fury said as he glanced over at Kari. "It isn't a secret you ladies are a scary lot."
"And, of course, we are good enough to be that scary lot as long as we can help you," Kari intoned as she started to walk to a back door in the Dal Riata. "But, Goddess forbid, we use the power for something not on the SHIELD or Avengers or X-Men agenda, then all hell breaks loose! Logan, this one leads to New York," she added as she opened the door. "One over there leads to Tokyo, Nick. Ryu went to visit his family."
"No funny stuff, Nick," Logan said as he followed Kari to the doorway. "And do not piss that man off."
