The force of the blast at the other end of the teleportation tunnel pushed Erinyes, Major Domo, Joshua, Jericho, Nocturne and Blink back into the Crystal Palace, and they landed on the floor with a loud thud. "What the hell happened?" Joshua yelled as he ran back to the place where the portal had been and slammed his hands against it. "I have to get back there!"
"Wait a minute!" Blink shouted back as she got to her feet and went to the computer console. "Let me see if we can figure out what..." Blink looked at Nocturne, and both women shook their heads as they looked back toward Joshua.
"What is it?" he shouted back at them as Erinyes slowly got to her feet.
"The dimension we just left....is gone," Clarice said as she sighed deeply. "Or at least we can't get back there right now."
"Major Domo, are you OK?" Erinyes asked as she extended her hand to her friend. "Joshua, don't freak out yet. Please."

The blast had been certainly unexpected. Major Domo winced as he found himself knocked into the Crystal Palace. He landed on the floor while he made a loud thud. His long grey hair hid his face. He placed his metallic palms on the floor. Groaning, he attempted to stand very slowly.
Major Domo used one hand to part his hair so that it no longer hid his face. After taking his companion's hand, he stood. His legs trembled. ''Yes. I'm okay,'' he said to Erinyes. Rare concern filled his eyes for a second. ''How are you?'' he wanted to know.
Major Domo's frown returned. ''Just be glad the blast didn't send us to Master Mojo's dimension. We would have been removed from the air permanently. At least we aren't near Spiral.'' |

"That was weird," Nocturne said as she kept trying to bring up the world they just left on the viewing screens, but all that could be seen was a lot of static. "And beyond unexplained. That drill, then the explosion."
"I have to get back there now!" Joshua kept yelling as he slammed his hands repeated into the wall until blood dripped from them.
"Hold it!" TJ yelled as she tried to get Joshua to stop. "We will get you back. Maybe not this minute, but if we have to go to Stephen Strange to do it, we will. He doesn't hate on the X-Men, not like that nut Iron Man."
"No one is hating on X-Men or Avengers," Blink said as she kept looking at the wall. "And I know this sounds crazy, but Banner has been really nice to us of late. And Stark does have kids among the X-Men..."
"Antonia Stark?" Joshua asked as Blink and Nocturne looked at each other and realized the two worlds were not that similar after all.

"I'm OK, Major Domo, and I'm glad we don't have Spiral nipping at our heels," Erinyes said as she watched TJ go to Joshua. "Antonia Stark? Joshua, who is she?"
"She was the biggest threat the human community had when it came to dethroning Ronan. She had an aerial fleet that was ready to move on Londinium...until the Red Guard blew up the helio-drome."
"How many people died..." Erinyes asked before Joshua turned away. "Is it possible that Ronan's guard sent the drill and caused the explosion?"
"Them or someone trying to make a play to take the throne," Joshua replied as Erinyes looked back at Major Domo and shook her head.
"I guess as long as we can move forward and help Jericho, then that is all we can do for now," Bethany said as she looked back toward the screen. "Maybe Sage can help us when we get back? There has to be more than one doorway into that world. Major Domo, maybe we can work on finding one while the doctors help Jericho? Sound like a plan?"

Major Domo winced at the sight of Joshua's bloody hands. Although he was with a tyrant for most of his life and saw nasty things, blood still caused him to wince. ''I was going to tell you not to harm yourself, but it's a bit late for that advice,'' he said to Joshua. He was used to giving advice to others. Major Domo saw Erinyes and smiled. ''That's good to know about your current condition.''
Major Domo shrugged. ''I'll go with any plan,'' he said. Any plan that didn't cause him bodily harm. He stood near Erinyes. |

"Then maybe we need to get out of here and find Sage and Beast," Erinyes said as she looked between Major Domo and her brothers. "Joshua, what aren't you telling us?"
"It's nothing. Help Jericho, and then we'll find a way back..." Joshua replied as he closed his eyes and tried not to wince in pain.
"He is not telling us everything," Erinyes said to Major Domo before Blink opened the passageway back to the X-Men's base in San Francisco. "Maybe he will later. For now, let's get him to the med bay."

Major Domo looked a bit sheepish at the thought of being near the X-Man Beast. *I may be with the X-Men now, but I still wonder how they feel about me. * He frowned and shook his head. *I have to aid Erinyes in any way possible. It's too bad I'm not wearing a disguise. Maybe the X-Men forgave me after Mojo enslaved them years ago.*
