Like most people in the world when they felt the need to disappear, Daken found his way into Madripoor following the whole situation involving the new mutant baby. Sinister was dead so the Marauders weren't all that together. There was still that Wesker guy that he could've affiliated himself with, but there was somethnig about him that seemed off to Daken. Too familiar, too similar to the world of Weapon Plus. And if he wanted to go itno that life, he'd either go to Weapon Plus or take a fairly large sum of money. Either way, he wasn't interested in either of those options, so he skipped off to one of the largest playgrounds on the world and did what was typical:
Whatever he wanted.
Unfortunately, Daken would find out that his undisturbed vacation would be cut short. Over the past few days, he had this feeling that he was being stalked by someone. With his heightened senses, picking out familiar scents wouldn't have been too much of a problem and his secret admirer could've been dealt with by now. Whoever this person was, they were subtly altering his senses to disguise their presence, and it might have worked had he not been heavily conditioned against such a thing. Subtle manipulation was one of his specialties too, after all.
So Daken played the long game, allowing this stalker to go undisturbed until he was certain that the person involved was close to him and tricking his vision to appear invisible, slowly coaxing him to follow Daken back to his hotel room.
The mystery person must not have been too familiar with Daken; while his vision, hearing, and smell were being disrupted, he was still more than capable of feeling. The rush of air caused by sudden movements, the vibration of the ground caused by footsteps. Daken could still feel these things just fine. And so, with a pivot, he spun around, popped the claws from his left hand and instinctively swung. The stalker let out a scream before he crumpled to his knees, arms pressed against his chest and stomach to slow the bleeding.
Daken then popped the claws in his right hand and turned around to look at his stalker, and was genuinely surprised once he realized who it was. "Purple Man? What the hell?" With another groan, Purple Man returned to his feet, only to get stabbed in his stomach and hand. He winced as Daken rushed and slammed him into a nearby wall. Like Daken, Purple Man also had an accelerated healing factor. Granted, he didn't heal nearly as fast as Daken did, bu the injuries he would sustain would not kill him. You have thirty seconds to start talking!"
"Hmph, that was my fault, really..." Surprised to hear a slightly British female accent, Daken turned to his left to see a fairly unassuming woman glare at him. He was well aware of the fact that Purple Man's disruptions had been broken by his grievous injuries, so how'd this woman avoid detection? That should've been impossible. "I instructed Mr. Killgrave to attempt to use his pheromone manipulation abilities on you despite his objections. I can be a persuasive individual at times."
"And who the hell are you, lady?
"My name is Sarah Emmerson. But you can call me you future boss. I have a job for you, Akihiro."
"I'm not interested."
"I wasn't asking."
