This is a placeholder for Verity Maplecroft, the younger sister of Patience Rydenborne. PB will be Michelle Ryan (Merlin, Bionic Woman, Doctor Who).
An External, Verity is a bit of an adventurer, but she is also fiercely loyal to her sister. She has been so loyal that she has been doing a bit of snooping to see what Patience's husband Jackson is really up to. She doesn't trust the man as far as she can toss an empty soda can.
Verity knows that her nephew Xander is missing, and she is not sure she believes the circumstances of her niece Bella's untimely death. Verity knows the various mystic families that move in X-Men circles, and she highly doubts they would have let her niece perish. Jackson is likely up to something, and she will find out what it is if it kills her.
The Maplecroft family dates back to Puritan New England, and yes, they did get into a bit of trouble in Salem back in 1692. Verity still carries the scars of seeing friends burned at the stake, but she buries them deep.
Verity is also a former lover of Dr. Alec Broadchurch, the man the Mystic Council has sent out to check into the robotic Scarlet Witch that made an appearance at the Hellfire Gala.
