Blink was technically on leave from the Exiles, but she had stayed close to the Crystal Palace just in case something interesting popped up. Yes, there were new Exiles in play like a very militaristic Dazzler, Kid Nightcrawler, General Howlett and his lover Hercules, but Clarice still considered the group more family than not.
"And now I sit here and wait..." she said as she reclined in one of the console chairs near the main computer station. Then it happened. Sage and her message. The thought of seeing TJ again. Blink got a smile on her face as she mulled over what was going to happen next. A mission to yet another world. The rescue of two brothers by their sister.
"What is keeping you guys?" Blink asked as she waited by the portal to the palace. "Sage, hurry it up already."

"Clarice!"
TJ's happiness at seeing her best friend knew no bounds as she led her troop of X-Men through the Crystal Palace to the control room. "Blink! Oh I am so happy you will be going along!" The TJ realized Blink saw Major Domo and she knew she had to act fast. "OK, before you go nuts, Major Domo is with the X-Men now. He is helping rescue this young woman's brothers."
"Please, Major Domo is my companion and my friend," Erinyes said as she stepped forward. "Whatever happened in your past was not his fault."

Major Domo stepped out of the portal. Perhaps it was good that Spiral didn't create the portal. Knowing her sadistic sense of humor, she would have transported everyone into a volcano or something. Major Domo saw Blink, but couldn't remember if he came across her or not. ''Thank you, Nocturne and Erinyes,'' he said. He stepped forward, but remained cautious.
''I know I helped Mojo torment others in the past, but I was his slave. I had to aid him or he would have removed me from the air for eternity. In case you're wondering, I haven't harmed the X-Men,'' Major Domo said.

"He's my friend, just like TJ is yours," Erinyes said as she sort of wedged herself between Major Domo and Blink. "He hasn't harmed anyone to my knowledge ever, and anything he did he was forced to do by Mojo. We were able to escape Mojo's grasp, and Major Domo has been a constant friend to me."
Blink looked at Erinyes and Major Domo and then over to Nocturne. "If TJ vouches for you, then it's fine by me," Clarice replied as Erinyes smiled at Major Domo.
"Thank you. Now, what do we need to do?" Erinyes asked as she waited for Blink and Nocturne to say how they would get to her world. "Major Domo, I can't believe we are going to get my brothers. Thank you. I never would have had the courage to try this if it weren't for you."

Major Domo began to frown as his shoulders slumped. How many other slaves suffered due to Mojo's idea of entertainment? How often did Major Domo stand near Mojo and not lift a finger to prevent others from suffering? ''Thank you, Blink,'' the android said. He turned to Erinyes and smiled. ''You gave me the courage to escape from a life as Mojo's slave, Erinyes.''

"We can all do the thanking when we get your brothers and get back here," Blink said to Erinyes and Major Domo as she looked at the group going on the mission. She recognized some of the Cybercide tech a few of the team members were carrying. The overly hyper Japanese guy with the katana was new to her.
"Clarice, this place we are headed to is called The Tank. It had another name, right?" TJ asked as Erinyes turned toward both women.
"The Rydenborne Institute for Mystical Studies," Bethany said with a deep sigh as she turned back to Major Domo. "We make a pretty good team, I guess. You and me, Major Domo."
"Rydenborne? Not him again," Blink growled as she looked up at one of the control room monitors. "He is a bad man in any universe I've gone to. Lucky us. Cross referencing these names. It may take a few minutes."
"Thank you," Erinyes replied as she shook her head before addressing Major Domo again. "My brothers could be brainwashed or aged so I would never recognize them. They likely think I'm dead, Major Domo."

Major Domo smiled at Erinyes and nodded. ''We are a good team, but you are more powerful than I am. I'm afraid my main ability is revealing good or bad television ratings. I am also able to add numbers very quickly, but I doubt that ability will help us.'' A frown replaced his smile after Erinyes mentioned her brothers' possible fates. ''Your brothers could be alive and well. Imagine their expressions when you arrive alive and well. I'm certain it will be a happy family reunion assuming they aren't brainwashed.''

Erinyes tried her best not to cry as she thought of her brothers. Their mother had died a long time ago. Well, a long time ago to a child anyway. "Yes, you're right. I need to think positively and not believe the worst. And you are wrong about one thing, Major Domo. You have a talent more important than you realize."
As she stopped to look at those going on this mission, Erinyes turned back to her friend and smiled. "You are able to help me keep my wits about me in the middle of the most important experience in my life so far. Thank you for that."

Major Domo's eyes were wide for a moment after Erinyes stated he was wrong about one thing. They were large from curiosity and not horror. ''Oh?'' he inquired in a low tone. His mouth happened to be firm after he was informed about his important talent. He found out about that unique ability. Major Domo smiled. ''Well, I can usually remain calm when there's chaos. I'm afraid I'm unable to help Mojo or Minor Domo keep their wits about them.'' He rolled his eyes very slowly.
''Mojo is always busy being a lunatic and never really notices my sarcastic tone. As for Minor Domo, she always imagines terrible scenarios and short circuits. I'm never irritated whenever I have to restart her. There's a button on her that I press and she goes back to being hyper. I guess you're unique in the sense that I can help you. At least you're not obsessed with television ratings or prone to imagining terrifying scenarios.''

"I hate to break up the chat, guys, but I think we are good to go," Blink said as she walked over to Major Domo and Erinyes. "OK, everyone, I am not sure what we are walking into, so I'd like the Cybercide crew up front. Paris, sweep for any hostiles as we cross over."
Blink moved to the doorway that lead to the world known only as WHAM to the computers of the Crystal Palace. At least that is all she and TJ could find after Sage's initial information download. Blink looked at the Tallus that was now back on her arm and prepared for the worst. "We find Erinyes' brothers, and then we head home. I have a bio scanner on me," she said as she waved it over Erinyes' arm. "Now I can detect if you have any relatives close by in case there are psi-dampeners in use."
Clarice walked into the portal, and the others followed close behind...

Major Domo was neutral while he noticed Blink. ''Sorry about that. I get a little chatty sometimes,'' he said with a sheepish grin. He began to smile at her. ''Thank you for aiding us,'' Major Domo said. He saw the sudden portal until he took a breath. He followed her into it and hoped everything would go well.
