OPEN?:> Y_ WALKER, DANTE GENERAL INFORMATION FULL NAME: Dante Walker CODE NAME: None OTHER ALIASES: Excaleus Cole III AGE: 530 DATE OF BIRTH: Unknown PLACE OF BIRTH: Old England KNOWN RELATIVES: Unknown BASE OF OPERATIONS: Unknown, largely mobile HEIGHT: 6'2" WEIGHT: 230 lbs HAIR COLOR: White EYE COLOR: Yellow OCCUPATION: Hunter of The Occult by day, superhero by afternoon SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Straight MARITAL STATUS: Single SPECIES: Demon KNOWN AFFILIATION: None, tends to ally with the X-Men KNOWN MUTATIONS OR UNUSUAL FEATURES: Yellow eyes and white hair aren't unusual? POWERS AND ABILITIES POWERS AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Dante is a demon, not in the literal, hellish sense, but a demon, a name his universe-displaced race took on when they arrived in this universe. Oddly enough, Dante possesses several abilities which are normally acquainted with a demon. Superhuman Strength: Dante, thanks to his enhanced physiology, possesses a moderate deal of superhuman strength. While no Hulk or Juggernaut, Dante is no slouch, and is capable of lifting 15 tons under optimal conditions. This is plenty of enough strength lift cars and trucks above his head and toss them a good distance, as well as punching through concrete and denting steel. Dante knows how to apply his strength properly, allowing him to take on a variety of foes. The typical application of Dante's strength is generally present in his legs. Often times, he is seen jumping several stories into the air, doing a variety of acrobatic moves in the process. His maximum leaping height is unknown. Superhuman Stamina: Dante is able to exert himself at peak capacity for twelve before fatigue begins to impair his performance. Superhuman Durability: The composition of Dante's skeleton, inter-connected tissues, and nervous system are all superior to a human's. His body is somewhat more durable and resistant to damage than an ordinary human, although he's not invulnerable. While his body is tougher than an ordinary human, he can still be injured in ways comparable to an ordinary human. Dante can be injured by bullets or knives composed of conventional material and from impacts of sufficient force.
Superhuman Speed: Dante can reach running speeds of about 80 miles per hour for sustained periods, but generally opts against it and uses regular transport instead. Superhuman Agility: Dante's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits. It could be said that Dante could give Spider-Man a run for his money.
Superhuman Reflexes: Dante's reflexes are several times greater than those of the average human. He's able to respond to various attacks faster than the average person and could possibly dodge gunfire if he were far enough away and had enough time to respond to the situation. Telepathy: Dante is a low level telepath, capable of reading the minds of others with weak protection against psionic intrusion and communicating with others.
Telekinesis: Dante can, psionically, levitate himself and others, as well as other objects. Dante is capable of producing low level force fields, which are capable of deflecting gun fire and mild explosions and collapsing debris. His TK is probably the reason why he's able to shrug off falls from 30 stories as if they were nothing. Teleportation: Through unknown means, Dante is able to disperse his body, causing him to vanish from sight, and appear in another location. He's able to take up to one other person with him when he teleports, and is restricted to his line of sight or to places he can picture in his head. His maximum teleporting distance is unknown, and since this is a rarely used move, it's likely to be less than a mile. Energy Blasts: Through unknown means, Dante is able to manipulate and channel large quantities of energy through his hands and release them as blasts. These blasts are powerful enough to punch through several inches of steel. The maximum potency of these energy blasts is unknown, due to their little usage. Demonic Transformation: Dante has the ability to transform his appearance, with his skin becoming gray and rock-like. Bat-like wings spring from his back, solidifying his demonic appearance. In this form, all of his attributes are enhanced by several times. His maximum power is unknown, but Dante was able to take on Dracula, who is in the 100 ton range, in this form on his own for a few moments before being defeated. It can be assumed that his maximum lies at the 100 ton range, if not somewhere below it. This transformation is rarely used, even when the situation calls for it. It's typically triggered out of extreme rage or desperation.
Hammer Space: Through his travels, Dante has gained access to an unknown dimension which he calls Hammer Space. Inside, he stores his massive collection of weapons, which includes everything from swords to rocket launchers. The dimension is safe enough for living beings to enter and stay for extended periods of time, which Dante often does when he wants a nap. Dante can mentally create gateways into this dimension, drawing and placing objects into the realm, which is how he switches weapons during the heat of battle. With special amulets, he can connect random things into the dimension. One of his closets was turned into a doorway into Hammer Space, as well an old shoe he found under his bed. Strength level: Dante possesses super human strength and agility for a woman her age, height, and build who engages in intensive regular exercise enabling him to lift up to 15 tons with maximum effort. In his demonic form, his strength increases to an unknown limit, though it's less than 100 tons. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Dante is trained to use just about any weapon known to man, and uses them quite well, even if it's in a reckless manner. WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT: Dante has a storehouse of multiple types of weapons, mystically enhanced and not, in an dimensional armory he has access to, which can be granted to whom he pleases. The majority of his weapons are mystically enhanced to the point where they don't need to be reloaded and can be fired in rapid succession, even if their standard counterpart can't even be fired at the excessive speeds.
WEAKNESSES: Dante feels pain just like every other person. He can be stabbed, shot, and pushed out of an airplane, and he will receive pain. Although he's immortal, extensive trauma like decapitation or extreme mutilation would most likely kill him. HISTORY Born Excaleus Cole, Dante grew up in Old England, the date of his birth being between the 1450's to the mid 1500's. Like most people around that time, Dante lived in a family of peasants, barely able to survive off of the work that his parents spent most of the day doing. Although he spent a lot of his time without his parents, Dante managed to avoid trouble, being no different than the average children his age. Unfortunately, as Dante grew up, his hunger increased, which lead to situations he would rather not be in. Dante would get ridiculed and punished for stealing small amounts of bread and vegetables. When those plans were botched, he resorted to stealing food from the Kings' garden. He wasn't caught at the time, but he was seen by a loyal servant to the King, whom quickly dispatched the royal guard. They managed to follow the boy home and attempted to arrest him for stealing, but Dante was stubborn and didn't agree. throwing a tantrum, this lead to a guardsman smacking him in the face, causing a fight between his father and the group. The end result was all three of them getting arrested and set to be executed on the grounds of treason. The very next morning at dawn, the family of three were hung, and somehow, Dante didn't die. Managing to free himself from the bindings on his hands, he freed himself from the noose around his neck and fled, eventually winding up in Ireland. As an orphaned child, he did whatever he could to survive, eating the remains of other peoples scraps as well as resorting to old fashioned thievery. Eventually, he wound up in England once more, living with a bunch of runaways and homeless men. Once again, Dante's pilfering ways got him in trouble and the authorities came down on them. Because the lot of them put up a struggle, they were sentenced to death or life in prison depending on the severity of their actions. This stirred up old memories of how he caused his parents death and became saddened that he had more lives taken because of his foolish deeds. Similar to his previous run in with the law, Dante frees himself before he can successfully be killed and flees. Into his teens, Dante is taken in by a wonderful family and becomes good friends with their daughter, Elaine. Elaine decides to go steal some food from the Castle to sedate her hunger, and while Dante, knowing from experience, thought it wasn't a good idea, he said nothing, letting his crush run off and rob the gardens. She managed to avoid any severe problems, but later that night, the Kings Royal Guard burst in to arrest the family, but Elaine's father refuses. An argument turns into a fight, and the whole family gets killed in cold blood while Dante runs for his life. From here, Dante was picked up by a scarred man and taken to a village in the country. With a threat of raids coming from neighboring countries and what the monarchy called "savages", the village trained Dante to defend himself, which he picked up on easily. It was during his time at the village when Dante first encountered the supernatural, a Vampire to be exact. He was the first to encounter the Vampire and attempted to fend it off before people were murdered, and was severely wounded during the fight, although ending the threat. It was during this time Dante started to notice that he wasn't an average person and decided to put his skills to good use by becoming a Hunter. With stories of Demons and Werewolves popping up almost daily, he figured he could make good money out of it. While looking for such creatures, Dante ran into whom he would call the most beautiful woman he'd ever met, named Maribeth. From the first moment they spoke, they hit it off and were set to be married. Unfortunately, she stabbed him to death, claiming that he was a Demon that needed to die. Dante did die, but only for a few short hours before his body jumpstarted. He was discovered by group of people with similar appearances and powers, whom explained exactly what Dante was. One of those people was a Japanese man, a rarity in England, named Daiyei Kobaiyashi, whom would become one of Dante's close friends over the centuries. The two traveled together, hunting the goblins that tormented the world, before becoming tired of it all. In the early 1700's, they called it quits and moved back to their respective homelands, keeping in contact through a telepathic link. During his time in England, he heard stories of a castle brought to Earth by the Devil. Finding this place curious, Dante went out of his way to search for the place, and eventually found it on a cliff side on the outskirts of London. Upon entering, Dante was immediately attacked by all sorts of creatures, ranging from reanimated corpses to flying heads. He ran into another in the castle, a man only known to him as Alucard, who said that the castle belonged to his father, Dracula. The two teamed up from that point on, ridding the castle of its evils before slaying Dracula. After the castle crumbled to the ground, the two men parted ways after their four day struggle inside of the massive building, each returning to their normal lives. Dante continued to run in to Maribeth multiple times during this period, each encounter starting off as a love interest and ending with the man near death. It was around this time that Dante discovered that it was the Vatican that was behind his constant near-death encounters with this woman, as they feared him as a spawn of Satan. With everything going on in his life, including his departure from the United Kingdom, Dante managed to somehow stay sane, probably due to his constant contact with Daiyei, which ended in 1906 for various reasons, one of which involves Dante becoming the bodyguard of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, whom became one of his friends, even though most of their interactions came about through business. While with the Archduke in Sarajevo, Dante caught word of a possible assassination attempt and went out to investigate. He ran into Gavrilo Princip, as well as someone he did not expect to see, Maribeth. By allowing the woman to distract him, Princip was able to kill Ferdinand, thus triggering World War I, which Dante feels responsible for, as well as the other world events that lead up to World War II. He fought in both wars, and finally fully modernized himself by creating the identity of Dante Walker and continued with his business, this time in the United States. While things remained calm, Dante decided to return to England in 1976 to visit his motherland and absorb nature. While on a hike, he came across a cave with what he assumed to be a massive bat inside. Figuring that this was a Vampire who was a threat to society, Dante went in to investigate, only to find out that it was a Vampire, and that it was Adrian Tepes, the son of Dracula that helped Dante stop his terror. Alucard went into hibernation afterwords to keep his bloodline from spreading, and apparently Dante woke him up. After a long discussion with Alucard to fill in his lost time, the two returned back to town and ran into Daiyei, and after a short conversation, the trio went off to wander the world, fighting demons and the like. The three traveled the world and stopped off at Madripoor. While in Madripoor, Khan's forces attacked. They put up a good fight, but they were quickly overwhelmed and where spit up to fight alone. After escaping the chaos in Dimension X thanks to the aid of the X-Men, Dante, Daiyei, and Alucard maintained ties with the team but continued to wander the world, fighting supernatural threats, though they have returned from time to time to aid when needed.
