It's hard to believe we are finally at the 50-year mark for Westchester's favorite mutants! The Battle of the Atom story kicks off in the books tomorrow to commemorate the anniversary.
What have been some of your highlights and low-lights of your X-Men reading history?
My highlights are:
Gen X--since Jubilee is a favorite of mine, I loved reading about her in that series. It's also the first place I ran across Emma Frost and Sean Cassidy.
Gambit--I loved his solo series, especially when it dealt with the Thieves & Assassins Guilds' list of characters. The Curse of the Vampire story arc--yes, it was cashing in on Twilight a tad, but it brought Jubilee back out into the limelight. Also loved how they handled Logan's healing factor shutdown in the story.
Wolverine Goes To Hell--I did not really want to play out parts of that story here, but Jason Aaron did a great job bringing it to life.
The lowlights:
Necrosha--I was pissed about the mutants that were killed off seemingly to make that story happen. Great concept in some parts, but it was a bit of an overkill in the death area.
--more to come--
