Sorry this has been so bloody long in coming, but I have been trying to look at this situation from every angle possible.
I am not going to rehash the painful history so far. Those left here know it all too well.
If (and it is still an if, folks) we can hope to reopen, it is still likely just the three of us to start that have been here the last few months.
Lewis/Lex is getting ready to go off for basic training and really can't game once he does, so he is out. I have been talking to James/Multiple Man, and while he is starting a new job, he said he would like to come back and help in some capacity. I will talk to him more this week unless he is going into training for the new job. Stalik would like to game but can't commit due to RL stuff, so nothing new there.
I have one outside person who might want to jump in if we reopen. He would be a wonderful asset to the game if I can swing it.
Now, about me...I have had to add hours to my work schedule, and it has been taking a toll on my hands. Arthritis stinks. Stress makes it worse. And, to be honest, I need to get the rest of my life in better shape. Being in your 50s does not mean you have all the answers, folks.
And if you don't have a maid, well, there is laundry to do!
If we do reopen, I am going to put a lot of characters off to the side to concentrate on the ones that are most important to me and for the stories in general. I will post on ones that I will open for apps. I would not be adverse to NPCing some as needed, but with the very limited time I would have (maybe an hour or two total per week), things would have to be streamlined to start.
Would a very limited schedule on my end be workable for the rest of the gamers? Or would it doom things before they start? I'd like to hear from everyone on this.
