Chris and Spiral, I wanted to thank you for sticking it out during all the gamer absences, work insanity and plot disruptions. I know it has been far from easy, so your presence here is greatly appreciated. Part of this new focus was hammered out so I would not have to do something to mess up things you are playing through at the moment or have in the works. I need to write out some of our current plans regarding Marvel plots. I'll try to get to that ASAP. Chris, rest assured Jean is foremost in my mind when I think about characters not in play at the moment.
Stalik, I know you are trying to make it back more regularly, and you may feel much of this does not need to be said. I've been wrestling with this for a long time. Today is the day to say it.
The rest of this note more or less deals with the rest of the story, as it were, and the analogy I am using will be weird. Sorry about that. My Pop, before his time in the Army, was a horse trainer and stable man. I fall off horses more than stay on them, but this just seems to fit.
As far as the board goes, on many occasions I stepped into the wrong races (wrong plots, poor timing, etc.), as I have been want to do at several points in my gaming life. Or I have bet on the right horses (meaning the wonderful gamers who have crossed the cyber threshold here), but the track of their real lives was too muddy, and they could not finish the race. Some gave up while still in the paddock because they thought we were giving up. Our low activity level likely scares people off. I wish they would see it as a place to step in and make a difference.
It has made this place a mess. I'm sorry about that.
I have one hope in all this. I hope that everyone who sees this realizes that I am not TF&D. We are ALL TF&D. I cannot look at the board and not think of every single character who has crossed the screen in front of me. I am not naming everyone because I could not. Stalik and his brothers. Jessie and Sean. Mr. Dragotti and both his button men. Ray and Naomi. Antonio and Holland. Keillia and Kelsey. Gabriel and Lex. Remedy and Lumina. And canons like Selene and Sebastian Shaw who were in much better hands before.
If you are an old hand looking to see if we are still here, we are. Don't let the post count be a wall to your return.
If you are new and have questions, ask. We are open to new people and new ideas.
There is a place here for everyone. Always. Please remember that.
Thanks--K
