''Like Blink said, departing together might be a better idea.'' Major Domo glanced at Erinyes again. He started to shrug. ''Good question about Spiral and magic. As far as I know, Spiral's spells function in all worlds. I usually wasn't with Spiral when she was in other dimensions. In other words, I'm not sure if magic affects Spiral. Sorry about that.''

"I say being anywhere near Spiral is a bad idea, so putting boots in motion might be the best idea," Duke said as Deion and Paris walked up behind him. "What about your brother, Erinyes? If he can move, maybe we better get back to the Crystal Palace and get him to Hank or one of those mystic docs."
"You'll need to contain his powers even if he is well enough to move," Freyja said as she walked over. "This is a rada'han," she said as she held a small metal collar in her hand. "It will inhibit the force that overwhelms him."
"A power inhibitor?" Duke asked as his eyes narrowed. "Those things are a mutant's worst nightmare."
"But the demon inside him is killing him," Freyja said as she handed the collar to Joshua. "Once your doctors look at him and fix his problem, Bethany, then it can come off."
"I don't like it," Duke said as he looked over at Blink, "but I like staying in this world even less."

"I agree that getting out of here fast is a good idea," Erinyes said as she looked over at Major Domo. "I know, Joshua. You still don't want to come with us. But maybe we have someone or something that can help you in your fight here. Having Jericho be able to help you could be a huge benefit. We have a telepath named Emma Frost who could help with any brainwashing. At least come with us until Jericho is well again."
"We will be fine, boss," Carlos said as he looked at Joshua. "Listen to your sister."
"Major Domo, we'll make sure Spiral can't follow us," Erinyes said as she placed her hand on his shoulder. "I don't want to run into her again any time soon. Just as soon as Jericho can be moved, we'll go."

Major Domo frowned at the thought of Spiral ambushing everyone. He was well aware of her swords and magic. She was quite a nasty enemy. ''Hopefully you're correct about Spiral being unable to find us. Then again, Spiral has her ways. She is able to cross time and space to get us.''

"We will just need to be faster and smarter," Erinyes said as she smiled at Major Domo. "But staying here is just not a good option."
"When can we try out the rada'han on your brother?" Freyja asked as she looked over to Joshua. "I promise it won't hurt him. The demon would be a worse thing to deal with."
"We actually have a few people in the X-Men versed in demonology, and one actually carries a demon like Jericho does," Blink said as she looked at the group. "Besides Joshua and Jericho, who else from this world is coming?"
"I'm not from this world, but I still need to find my sister," Paul said as he stood next to Carlos. "I'm going to stay and help if I can until I find her."
"And what about you?" Bink asked as she looked at Britt and Gar.
"Nope. No way. I may hate this place, but going to another one with all this crap going on sounds stupid," Britt said as she shook her head and then stopped to check her gear in her side pouch, pulling out a photo and handing it to Blink. "But if you come back, I'm wondering if you can bring someone back with you? If your world has this person in it."
Erinyes walked over to see the picture and gasped before rushing back to Major Domo. "I think we better leave now. What did this person do in this world, Britt?"
"She was our Sorceress Supreme before she went up against my father. I'm hoping your world's version might be able to undo some of this crazy and give the people back a world where they can live in peace," Britt said as Erinyes walked over to Blink again.
"Major Domo, do you remember people in the pens back in Mojo's world? Would you be able to identify someone if I showed you a photograph?" Erinyes asked as she started to fidget a bit. "I think I saw this woman in Mojo's world. And there is likely one in our new home, but I think we can do better than that."

''Spiral may not be able to find us at all. I'm probably worrying about her for nothing. Then again, it's never a good idea to underestimate your enemy.'' Major Domo proceeded to glance at Freyja. ''Rada'han?'' he muttered under his breath. He noticed a photo before he concentrated on Erinyes.
''I remember seeing a few people in pens. I'm afraid I don't remember everyone's features. I noticed the photo. The woman seems a tiny bit familiar.'' |

"OK, then maybe I didn't see this person after all," Erinyes said to Major Domo as she handed the photo back to Blink. "There were a lot of people in the pens, and at times I wasn't in my right mind. When my powers were amped up, I wasn't able to focus all that well." Then Bethany looked at the circular power dampener in Freyja's hand. "May I?"
"Just don't put that on yourself," the Viking witch said as she handed the rada'han to Erinyes. "You really don't want to test it out."
"Freyja ought to know," Carlos said as he walked over and hugged his friend. "They tested them on her."
"Who did? Emperor Ronan?" Erinyes asked as Freyja nodded "yes" to the question. "Then we better get out of here before those seeking his throne think up something worse. Joshua, are you going to help put this on Jericho?"
Joshua nodded as Freyja took the rada'han back and followed the archer into the medical area.
"I'm going to be very happy to get out of here, Major Domo. Do you want to go with me and my brothers to the med bay when we get back home?" Erinyes asked as she nervously watched the doorway of the room where her younger brother was now resting.

Some time passed before Jericho was able to get out of bed and make his way out to where his sister was with her friends. "Beths," he said softly as he stood in the doorway and watched Erinyes, Major Domo and the other X-Men. "We thought you died. Mom...Mom told us Ronan set you on fire as an example to the rest of us. If I'd known..."
Fiery tears ran down Jericho's face as Bethany ran over to him. Aside from the demon that had been grafted to him in his youth, Jericho's powers tended to go toward the pyrokinetic end of the magic scale than in any other direction.
"It's going to be OK," Erinyes said as she hugged her younger brother, watching as he felt the collar around his neck. "I thought..."
"I fixed it so it controls the demon and not his magic powers," Freyja said as Erinyes then ran and hugged her. "It's OK. No need to get all..."
"No, I do! I thought my family was dead for so long, and if Major Domo hadn't given me the suggestion to do this, I might not have come back here," Erinyes said as she went back and hugged both her brothers and then ran to hug Major Domo. "Thank you, my friend, for having faith."
Jericho smiled a bit as he watched his sister. He was still trying to process everything, and it was turning out to be harder than he had thought it would be.

''I'm afraid I'm not a whole lot of help. Sorry about that, Erinyes,'' Major Domo said with a sheepish expression and a shrug. He glanced at the rada'han for a second. That was when he saw Erinyes again. He started to smile. ''Getting out of here will be wonderful. I'll be happy to go with you and your brothers.''
Major Domo's eyes widened at the sight of Jericho. He tilted his head in confusion after he saw the latter's fiery tears. *How are tears made out of fire?* he thought. He watched as Erinyes hugged her sibling. Major Domo began to tilt his head again. ''I'm the reason why you came back?''
Major Domo gasped after he was hugged. He wasn't quite used to hugs or the gentle touch of another. Mojo usually seized his throat after terrible ratings. The android was never physical with Mojo's other slaves. Minor Domo had been the only exception. Major Domo always touched the button on the back of Minor Domo's neck to start her up again after her usual fits caused her to short circuit.

"Folks, I hate to break this up, but I think we better leave now, before our six armed acquaintance reappears," Blink said as she walked over to Joshua. "Come on, archer, grab you gear. You might actually need it when we get home. Now, besides the Brothers Kincaid, who else is going back with us?"
"I wasn't planning on leaving my gear here," Joshua replied as he looked at Blink and then Nocturne. "And why would I need it so much?"
"We have as many problems in our world as you do in yours," Blink replied as she got some of her lances ready. "But our Ronan MacFeorais is not a homicidal dictator. Please, don't kill him. Kari and her siblings would not take too kindly to that."
"Home, Major Domo! That sounds so good!" Erinyes said as she stood with her friend and her brothers.
"Once we get you back, we may head back here," Duke said as he, Paris and Deion suited up. "Doc Nemesis might want us to scout this place."
"Your call," Blink said as she opened a portal back to the Crystal Palace. "People, we are going home!"

Major Domo saw Blink until he nodded. He had no idea if they were all capable of defeating Spiral. He certainly wasn't able to defeat Spiral. If only Mojo gave him extra arms, the ability to cast spells and teleport, etc. Although Spiral had her weaknesses, it still wasn't a good idea to underestimate her. *I'm hoping Spiral won't find us* he thought.
Major Domo smiled at the portal. Home sounded good to him now. Anywhere but Mojo's world. The android still dreaded the idea of facing his master. He was well aware of Mojo's hissy fits. He experienced what Mojo was like when he was enraged. Major Domo faced Erinyes. ''I am as ready as you are.'' |

Joshua walked over to Carlos and gave him a hug before he put his quiver over his shoulder. "You are in charge until I get back. Watch the kids, especially Taro and his cousins. You know how much trouble they get into."
"You got it, boss," the earth mover replied as he looked at Gar and Britt who seemed ready to leave as well. "What about them?"
"They can head wherever they want. No need to make them stay. Just make sure Freyja ushers them out. If you need help, we still have our contacts in Wallachia who can get a message to Vlad and Camelia. The were-army owes us for that stunt we pulled off near Prague for them, and the tengu clans owe us as well. Ayame Harada will help."
"Hell yes, gotta stick with your allies," Carlos replied as Joshua walked over to Jericho, Bethany and Major Domo. "Boss, stay safe."
"We will," Joshua replied as they all walked toward the portal.

''At least we aren't going into a trap,'' Major Domo said to Erinyes as he grinned at her. He looked sheepish again. ''I probably shouldn't have said such things.'' A worried expression replaced the android's sheepish look. Major Domo started to worry about walking into the Mojoverse by mistake. Was such a thing even possible?

"Do not say anything about traps," Blink said only half jokingly as she looked at Major Domo. "Please. This place is screwy enough as it is. I do not want to think about getting stuck here."
"Hey!" Taro yelled as he saw the portal. "I'm going with!"
"No, you are not," Joshua said as he motioned for Carlos to get between Taro and the portal. "Carlos will need your help."
"I am so sick of being on kitchen patrol! I want to see some action, boss!" Taro replied as Joshua kept shaking his head. "I am not some little kid!"
"He sounds like some of the students back home!" Blink interjected as she started to move toward the portal, but the building started to shake, causing the portal to become unstable. "Don't cross over yet!" she shouted as she pulled two more lances and turned to see who or what was causing the building to rock.
Parts of the floor started to give way as the tip of a drill pierced the floor near the wall farthest away from the group.
"Major Domo, stay with me!" Erinyes yelled as the floor started to buckle under everyone's feet.

''Sorry for mentioning you-know-what, Blink,'' Major Domo said with a sheepish expression. He gasped after the building shook. *Now what?* he thought as he tried not to fall. The android stumbled for a few moments. His eyes became wide at the sight of a sudden drill appearing. He made sure to stay with Erinyes.

"OK, Erinyes, you and Major Domo are going home!" Blink shouted as the Cybercide members got between them and the drill that pierced the floor. "No talking! Go!"
Blink's lance opened a doorway back to the Crystal Palace, and Clarice motioned for TJ to help her get Bethany, her brothers and Major Domo out of there. "We will be right behind you!"
Erinyes nodded as she grabbed Major Domo's hand, and the pair ran into the portal. Joshua and Jericho were right behind them, with TJ helping to push them all along. An explosion went off and pushed Blink through the portal before it snapped shut.

Major Domo watched while Blink opened a doorway. He almost wondered if it was a good idea for her to remain behind. At least she said she was going to be right behind them. Blink looked capable of protecting herself from harm. Major Domo allowed Erinyes to grab his hand. At least he wasn't grabbing Spiral's hand or many hands.
