(Cynara is a derivative of the island of Zenara in the Agean Sea)

Powers: Can control water--so far she can only make it move (and not very far yet), but she may one day have the ability to freeze it or turn it to steam. She might also be able to turn her entire body into water, but she is afraid to try that power stunt
Parents: George Theodorakis (Greek diplomat assigned to London) and Emily Browning-Theodorakis (professor of comparative mythology at the University College London)
Bio: Cynara was conceived on the Agean while her parents were on their honeymoon, and that is why she is named after one of the islands in that region.
Nereid is very quiet and a bit shy, and she is also very timid about the use of her powers. She is deathly afraid she will drown everyone in her path one day if she loses control. She has been working with Storm a bit and hopes to one day work with Iceman to test the range of her powers.
She speaks with a Greek accented British accent, as she calls it. She is fluent in both Greek and English, and she is more than happy to head to the kitchen to make Greek pastries that her yia-yia showed her how to make when she was little.
