{{The kids will be just fine}} Maeve said telepathically to Kari as she watched Thor and his companion D moving among the rest of the extended family gathered around the table. {{And I know you're worried about Dana. I'll punch Wisdom out. No question about that}}

"It's certainly been quite a gathering so far," Maeve said to Erin as she turned to look at the stairs and saw figures moving around upstairs.  "I don't think this place has been this full since those two munchkins were born," she said as she motioned toward Annaliese and Brigid. "Well, maybe once since, but that wasn't for anything nearly as fun. And speaking of fun," she added as she looked at Sean and Miri, "we'll need to know the date for your wedding. Once things calm down, I mean."

 

[Serenity]

"Daddy, I know this is not what you bargained for..." Faith said to Michael Priest as she started to take him upstairs.

"I'm headed down!" Finn yelled from the landing near one of the bedrooms upstairs. "Faith, I'll be down in a minute!"

"He is so stubborn!" Faith grumbled before heading with her father to one of the comfier chairs near the drawing room. "I'll go get you something...as soon as I answer that silly phone." Faith picked up the receiver and frowned as the person on the other end started to talk before she got a word out of her mouth. "Sir, I...sir. Please slow down."

"If that's Jeremiah Purdy, tell him Branan is still in Edinburgh!" Donal yelled across the room. Faith shook her head and started mouthing the words "not him" to her uncle.  "Doctor Nicholas Ruskin. And you want to speak to..."

Faith looked very upset as she hung up the phone. "Whoever that man is, he said he's coming over. He sounded very unpleasant," she said to Michael as he just sat very quietly in his chair. "What's wrong, Daddy?"

"I remember when Nicholas Ruskin was Niallghas Rusgairean. So do most of the adults here. And yes, my lovely one, he is a very, very unpleasant man." 


  

[Tumult]

Finn rushed past his Grandmother Kennis and Uncle Cormac and ran toward the staircase. "I'm fine! I don't need you two poking and prodding me!" As he moved down to where everyone was gathered, he pulled a gray Xavier's school hoodie up and over his head. He did not want anyone else seeing what had happened to him at that damned party last night, although in his heart he knew they'd find out eventually. "Dad! You didn't need to come and check on me!"

Michael Priest got up from his chair and went to embrace his son, but Finn pulled back. "Not check on you? What sort of father would I be if I didn't see how you were after that disaster?"

"One who should stay the hell away because we know he started the mess in the first place!" Cormac shouted from the landing as both Finn and Michael looked up at him. "You and that damnable lot of psychopaths you call friends!"

"Uncle Cormac, please! Dad didn't have anything to do with that mess!" Finn snapped as he ran back up the stairs, glaring at his uncle with each footfall. "You are a fool who doesn't know what you are talking about!"

"Finn! Stop it! Uncle Cormac, please, Daddy is a guest, and if you have a problem..." Faith said as she raced behind her brother and tried to grab his arm. She grabbed the back of the hoodie instead and ended up pulling the hood off her twin's head. "Goddess! Finn, what happened?" she asked as she saw two horns protruding from Finn's head.

"I don't know," Finn said as he turned and looked back down the staircase toward his family below. "I blacked out, so I have no idea what Morgan Le Fay did to me."

[Taranus]

"What the bloody hell?!" Erin responded as she put down the glass of blood wine quickly she looked over at Finn.

"Morgan did that to you?!" She said as she felt her anger start to bubble up to the surface. "I swear if I see that bitch again it will take everything in me not to tear her throat out!" Sean immediately walked over and put his hand on her shoulder.

"Easy lass easy."

[Nephilim]

"Erin, I'll be right behind you," Thom replied as he walked over to his cousin, all the while looking at Finn. "Sean, I know why you're worried. Everyone in this clan, be it the ones with the angelic wings or the ones with the vampiric natures, has one thing in common. We love everyone in this family. Erin, thank you for being so concerned about Finn."

Thom looked over toward Finn again but stayed close to Erin. "Maybe we should check in with Uncle Branan later and see if he and the group that went to Buckland Academy found out where Le Fay is hiding? Erin, it may take everyone in this family to send her packing. Did you ever deal with her in your world? Ceri, what about you? Did Morgan Le Fay ever give your family trouble?"

 

[Miranda Rydenborne]

Miri sighed as she looked at Sean. "I'll see what William might have heard at the party about this mess with that Avalonian nightmare Le Fay. Wait. Michael, your sister's husband. Joshua Garrett. Didn't he have some odd issue with demons and Le Fay in his family tree?"

"Demons, yes. Le Fay, no," Priest replied as he looked at the horns growing from Finn's head. "Aerfen DalCais had issues with demons and Le Fay."

"Sean, is that something we should check out?" Miri asked. "Your family is my family now, and I don't want to see Finn in pain."

"I'm fine," Finn said as he reached up to feel the horns again. "Axl! Maybe he knows!"

"Oh Goddess. Your other cousin who owns the record company, Sean," Miri said quietly. "He was possessed by a demon. I forgot all about that. Maybe a visit to ask him if there is anything we can do? I'm lost about what to do to help."

[Taranus]

It was then Erin spoke up ahead of Sean. "If we need to reach out to AXL I'd like to go. The truth is this whole situation with Le Fey has got me in a bad spot mentally. She's already screwed with this family once already and seeing what has happened to Finn it's going to be things like this that she will use to get at us." She said taking a drink of the blood wine.

"I've only had my family back a short time and I will not have them being messed with because some witch gets a rise out of it......Besides I fear there may be worse coming. Sean, mother I hope this is ok but since the incident at the club I've been keeping contact with Aleera. She may not be coming to our family get togethers any time soon but her race is connected through this family. Me, Sean, Ewan, etc and she's made it clear that she wants the balance to continue. Morgan causes issues to that balance so while I wouldn't hold her close we have a strong ally."

"I'd like to go and talk to AXL about what is going on with Finn and see if anything can be done?" She then turned and looked at Thom. "I know it will take all of us Thom and it would be best to contact Uncle Brannan but my concern is for seeing what we can find out about Finn's situation?"

[vulpine]

"No Thom I never had any direct dealings with Morgan Le Fay.....From what I remember she was locked away and kept under tight guard. She had gone after our family a few times but she was always stopped." She responded as she looked over at Shannon with a smile before something else occurred to her.

"Some things are very different. Alexia is here and while we have someone else in our extended family in Jessie. She and Ewan are a item and I know she has a very strong drive to protect those she cares about and I wonder if Le Fay would really want to challenge someone like the Phoenix?" She responded before Erin spoke up again.

"Ceri while I agree with you Jessie is still very new to this plain just like a lot of us. I know she cares about Ewan and his family but she has things on a much broader scale to concern herself......But I know she would come to our aid if we needed it."

[Karenza]

Kari had more or less zoned for a minute after Finn came down the stairs. This really should not have surprised her, but attacks like this always hit her in the gut. "And on top of this, we should talk to Victor Von Doom..." she said softly before looking between Erin and Maeve. Erin reminded Kari so much of Maeve from years gone by that is was a bit eerie. It was what everyone said about Kari and Deirdre for so very long.

"Erin, going to see Axl is a very good idea, and I think you, your mother, Finn, Thom, Miri and Sean should make that your first stop. The circumstances were different, but I'm sure he can be of help. He had said he was going to see our cousins Aerfen and Ardan before heading out on some tour with his newest find, so I'm guessing he's off at the DalCais keep near Limerick. But before you go..."

Kari ran into the library that was across the hall and then ran back where everyone was gathered. She had a small book in her hand. It was covered in green and brown leather and had a gold latch to keep it shut. She handed it to Erin, saying a blessing over it before releasing it from her hand.  "A gift for Aerfen. She can be a bit twitchy. Her lover ended up in Hell after he made a bad deal with Mephisto, so talk of demons could set her on a downward spiral. The book might help you all if Axl and Aerfen need to make any deals on Finn's behalf. It's a book of favors I've collected over the centuries. Nothing dangerous, mind you. I'm not that daft. But it could help."

Kari looked back at Logan as he chatted with Thor. The Weapon X banter hitting at the same time as Finn's predicament seemed all too convenient. "Kurt, any word from Ororo?"

"The last I heard, she was in Wakanda taking care of personal business," Nightcrawler replied as Kari nodded to him. "But if you need her, we will get her here."

"I may ask her to go to New York and check on Doom. Her Avengers status won't hurt one bit. I'd call on Keillia to talk to her uncle, but I heard she is on a dig Goddess knows where."

Kari looked back at Erin and then hugged her. "Thank you for stepping up, Erin." 

[Eiriu]

"And I agree that keeping Aleera in the loop on this is a very good idea, Erin, along with Ewan's friend Elijah," Maeve said as she stood next to Erin. "Aleera has always been fair, and as far as I know, no one in the family has ever given her trouble. Not even Gabriel Van Helsing has gone against her because of her connection to our family."

"Gabe is more concerned about the safety of his daughters now than he is about going to the wall with the ruling vampires," Kari added as she looked back toward where Annaliese and Brigid were playing. "So he is not a threat to Aleera unless a threat is made, and unless pushed, I doubt Aleera would make a move against him."

"What about your friend Rick, Damon?" Maeve asked as Damon laughed. "What? He is a vampire hunter."

"He and Aunt Eavan are off doing unspeakable things to each other in Tahiti," Damon said with one eyebrow raised in mock horror. "Or they were when we last spoke. He and Aleera have no issues as far as I know, Auntie Maeve."

"Erin, should we ask Aleera to join us then? It might not be a bad idea," Maeve asked as she kept looking at Damon as he tried to stifle his laughter about their Aunt Eavan. Eavan was her father Ronan's sister and always considered the fun relative among that generation.

[Tumult]

"Well, when do we get going?" Finn asked as he paced the floor. "Do you have to talk to Aleera first, Erin, or do we need to get to Axl first? This is starting to make me very twitchy."

"And I'm going..." Michael Priest started to say before Kari stepped in front of him. "If you aren't, I should."

"No, you and I need to have a little chat about your sister and Patience Rydenborne," Kari growled as she moved Finn's father out of the
area near their son for a moment. "If you show up. Aerfen will rip off your head, and you know that. She blames your family for driving one of her lovers insane. Finn does not need to see his father locked in mystic battle with his cousin. If Axl were anywhere but there, I'd say go right ahead. Let them sense Aerfen out first at least."

"She's right, you know," Maeve chimed in.  "Aerfen is a very troubled soul. I love her dearly, but she is a bit of a loose cannon. She would die for family, but she would never see you as family, Michael."

"Dad, I'll be fine," Finn said as he looked back toward Erin and smiled. "Sorry if I scared you before, Erin."

[aleera]

A dark colored mist appeared in the corner of the room as a familiar face to some walked through. The sudden arrival of Aleera the vampire queen might have put some on alert but Erin was quick to respond.

"It's ok I called her here. After the conversation we just had I felt it was better to ask her here directly."She said as Erin looked at Aleera with a nod.

"Well I must say that I wish I was invited here under more joyous circumstances but sadly it looks as though that is not the case but regardless thank you Erin for inviting me here. As for your request yes I will gladly join you. The aftermath of the incident with Morgan has put some of the elders in a state of concern so with my position I feel as if it will bring things under balance again I must add myself to your ranks."

[Damon MacFeorais]

Damon bowed to Aleera as he watched the others get ready to leave. "I'm sure your help will be a great benefit, my queen," he said, backing up slightly from where he had been standing. Damon noticed a few people staring at him after that last part of his comment. "What? I can be reserved and diplomatic. I'm not always the partying lunatic."

Kari shook her head as she looked at Damon, and then she turned back to Aleera. "I've given Erin a book that might help persuade our cousin Aerfen to help if, for some reason, she is out of sorts at the moment. Morgan did a terrible disservice to her centuries ago, and I am sure the rise of Le Fay and her daughter is not sitting well with her. I am going to ask one of the X-Men to chat with Victor Von Doom, and perhaps Tony Stark as well."

"I forgot Doom and Stark went back to Camelot during a moment of utter stupidity," Damon said as he went over and gave Erin a hug. "Thanks for taking care of baby bro. I'd go, but this Weapon X stuff is something I can't avoid. If you need me, I can get to Limerick quickly."

"I'm praying this has nothing to do with Carnwennan," Kari added as she watched Maeve open a portal. "I'm going to have to talk to someone in the O'Toole clan about this, and I am not looking forward to it. Safe journey to you all." 




 

[aleera]

Aleera smiled and nodded back to Damon. "Dear Damon I do appreciate the respect from you regardless of my title I do appreciate the gester."

She then turned to Kari which explained the situation to the vampire queen. "It does seem like Morgan has been a thorn in the side of way too many and the sooner we get this solved the better.....For all of us." She responded watching as Maeve opened a portal.

"Looks like it's time to go?"

[Eiriu]

"Kari, if O'Toole starts acting like...like he usually does, remind him who saved his bacon in the Crusades. I don't give a rat's ass how he feels about us," Maeve started to say as she looked back at her sister. "Aleera, I'll take lead in case Aerfen is upset. She has no issue with you or your court, but if she has been having delusions of late, I fear no one will be safe from her sharp tongue or her incantations."

The portal fluttered and shimmered as the group made their way to Limerick. In the depths of her soul, Maeve prayed they would be able to find something to help Finn.

By now Kendra was taking the steps two at a time to try and catch up with the group exiting through the portal.  "I am going, and you guys are not going to stop me!"

"Wouldn't dream of it! But move your butt. We don't want to keep Aerfen waiting," Maeve shouted back over her shoulder. 

"Munchkins, you mind Eliza while I'm gone. Ma, I'll make sure Finn's OK," Kendra said as she stopped to give Kari a hug. She noticed Logan and Kurt talking with Thor and looked away. "We gotta talk when I get home," she whispered to Kari before she followed the group through the portal.

[Lady Sif]

As the portal closed there was a loud crack of thunder outside the manor, and the unmistakable glow of the Bifrost could be seen through the entrance. Soon the Lady Sif made her way into the home of the Clan MacFeorais. She nodded her head to Thor as she moved closer to the women standing near him. "It is good to be among our friends of the Raven's Rock," she said as she then nodded to those gathered.

"Welcome, Sif," Kari said as she walked over to the Asgardian and clasped her hand in friendship. "While Thor discusses Weapon X with Logan, let me introduce you to Alexia, a daughter of both mine and Thor's from another realm, and to my daughter Bryce who has been granted this weapon that likely pulled both you and Thor here."

"Greetings, and welcome to this world, Alexia," Sif said as she smiled at the young woman. "And that is a mighty weapon, Bryce. If it chose you, you must be worthy indeed."

 

[chryseis]

"SIF!" Alexia said with a big smile and almost on instinct ran to her and embraced her in a hug. In her own reality the two were close friends so it was natural to her. She came to her senses and let go. "I apologize if I startled you....You see in my reality we were close."

Bryce just smiled. "I gotta say SIF that is the most outgoing I've seen Alexia yet."She responded putting the axe on her back. "And I appreciate the comment. It's taking me some getting use to but I'm catching on quick....It's quite a feeling I will say that."

[Lady Sif]

Sif smiled warmly and returned Alexia's hug. "There is no need to apologize, Alexia. I am sure that in this world we will become great friends as well. I know that coming to a strange realm can be most discomforting. New people and places that do not readily match up with ones own land can be perplexing, but you seem to have an extended family here that will help see you through, not to mention your family in Asgard. Balder and the Warriors Three will be most please to me you."

As she watched Thor for a moment, it was easy for Sif to see so much of her father in Alexia, even if this Thor was not actually her father. She then turned her attention to Bryce. "Have you been able to test out your new weapon? Perhaps we can step outside and have a go at it?" 

[Tiberius]

Daniel sat with Ceri and Shannon, eying Lady Sif a couple of times before Faith gave him an odd look and shook her finger at him before adding a wink at the end. "Well, do you want to..." he started to say before his phone went off. "What now?" he asked as he pulled it out and read the text that came through. "Well, well...are you ladies up for a trip to the MI-13 offices at The Shard in London? Seems Pete Wisdom wanted a SHIELD operative to stop by, and we're actually the closest ones to that location. Never mind SHIELD kicks our collective fannies out of the way when they have no need for us, but hey, they must figure Pete won't get too odd with us...for some goofy reason."

"Did he mention anyone else?" Shannon asked as she looked over at Dana.

"No, apparently not...but he could always change his mind," Daniel growled as he looked at the phone. "Ceri, Shannon, if you want to hang here or have other plans, I can handle old Hot Knives myself. But we could hit a couple of clubs afterwards if you want."

[Claymore]

"For Heaven's sake, will you slow down!" Liam yelled to the blue furry demon that had come with him to Raven's Rock. "Kei is here with Ichigo, and you can go find her, but please don't scare everyone!"

"Babagagababab!" the creature shouted as it ran into the manor house and straight up the steps, heading for the bedrooms on the second floor.

"Kei needs to teach him better manners," Liam chuckled as he made his way over to where Thor and Wolverine were seated. He motioned for Damon to come over, but Damon stayed where he was standing. "Suit yourself, bro. It's good to see you again, Thor. No change on the Wild Child front, Logan, but Doc said he'd ring me if anything happens back home."

Liam was weighing whether or not to tell Wolverine about Omega Red's arrival back at the base, but he kept it to himself for the moment.

[Ravenheart]

"Laurel, I thought your friend Emily was coming with Liam," Cormac said as he walked back down the stairs and over to his eldest daughter. "I bet that crusty scientist kept her back in California. Him and his needles and scanners..."

"Dad, Emily probably didn't want to jump right into this," Laurel said as she waved her hands around. "And our friend Kyle is still in bad shape..."

"Ah yes, Mr. Gibney," Cormac said as he nodded his head. "I hope they find a way to help him soon."

"Me too. Hey, want to watch as Alexia and Bryce have a match with Lady Sif?" Laurel asked her father, and he stood there for a moment as he seemed to weigh the upcoming battle.

"Yes, some time outside might do me some good," Cormac replied as his phone's text tone rang. He pulled it out and looked at it, shoving it quickly back into his pocket. "Marcas. He'll be here later."

[chryseis]

"Well I am certainly ready for a match whenever you two ladies are ready.....It's been a while since I stretched the ole combat skills anyway."Alexia said with a wink and a laugh to both of them.

"Same goes here and I'm getting more and more anxious by the minute."Bryce responded as a light glow could be seen in her pupils. "Sif are you ready?"

[Lady Sif]

Sif looked toward Thor, wondering if he would come outside to witness his daughter in combat. He seemed to be too involved in this talk of the Midgard-based weapons programs, so she, Alexia and Bryce would likely be starting on their own. "I take it there is a battle ground near here?" she asked as Cormac nodded and pointed toward one of the windows near the side of the manor house.

"Yes, Lady Sif, we have a training ground near the orchards," Cormac said as he started to walk toward the front doorway. "I can walk you all out there. My daughter Laurel and I would like to watch your match."

"Very well then," Sif said as she smiled at Alexia and Bryce. "We will follow you," she added as the group headed outside.

Kari was not entirely thrilled with how this was all turning out in the end. She looked at Logan talking to Thor, and part of her heart started to sink.

"Penny for..." Roslea said as she walked up behind her sister. "I know you wanted a break. The only time any of us ever really gets a break is when we leave this dimension and go where no one knows us. You always end up having some part of you in almost every world, so you never catch a break."

"Maybe I'm just getting too bloody old for this, Roz," Kari said as she looked back at her sister. "And I'm not an idiot. I know some of the team members back in San Francisco are not thrilled with the Hogwarts in Berkeley feeling things have now. They'd be thrilled if the lot of us magical types decamped to another part of the globe. It gets...disheartening is the best word, I guess."

"Then focus your attention on the ones who don't give you grief, and only deal with the rest if you have to," Roslea said as she put her hand on Kari's shoulder. "At least your energies won't be wasted on nonsense. Nothing else is going on that I should know about, right?" Kari knew right away what Roz was hinting at, and she hesitated in replying.  "Kiki," Roslea said as she gave her sister an odd look, "You haven't talked to him yet, have you?"

"With all his Avengers business on top of our own team missions and that idiotic party, I barely got to hug him before we got here. I can't exactly say, oh, by the way, I've felt the time stream shifting around me," Kari said as she tried not to look into her sister's eyes. She did look over toward Logan as Thor got up from the table and took D to the side to speak for a moment. {{I'm fine. Just frustrated}} she said in her link to Logan.
