POWERS AND ABILITIES POWERS AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Flight: Not a speedster, but can fly quite fast. Light manipulation: Lumina can create light based illusions, in doing so she can not only manipulate light on the visual spectrum, she can create some 'hard' light constructs but is limited in scope to objects no bigger than a standard sized car. Her 'sword' is made of this hard light and does the same damage as a metal blade can do and in some cases can even use heat if she uses the correct photonic phase. Lumina can also create bursts of lights, similar to a mage's magic missiles (think Dagger)- arrows of light that can have varying effects such as merely blinding, to concussive force or even heat or piercing sharpness. Physical strength and agility: She is lightning fast; similar to elves, she is graceful and inhumanly fast (think Spiderman type agility or the elves from LOTR). She is strong enough to tear off a car door, but rarely uses it unless under duress. Sharp senses: keen vision and very good hearing, similar to elves from LOTR. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Gwen is a fashion designer of no little talent and experience, and uses this to further help her in dealing with adventures. WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT: Armour/ Clothing: her body armour is light and looks like clothing, but she is able to make it rigid enough to withstand gun fire by imbuing it with light reactive and storing materials that she can affect with her powers if need be. Liminal Fashions: One of the top fasion houses from Canada, with locations in France, Italy, Japan and the like. WEAKNESSES: LIMITATIONS: Gwen absorbs and stores any ambient light from any source and as such is limited to what she can hold in her body without renewing her 'batteries'. Kept in total darkness for long enough, she will eventually lose her ability to fly or manipulate light until she is exposed to light again. Without her light powers, Gwen is still inherently strong and quick, trained in many hand to hand defensive techniques and experienced enough in combat situations to keep her head and work with others if need be. While she heals well and somewhat quickly, Gwen isn't impervious to injury and would need the same care as any regular human with the exception of being able to heal without scars and to *eventually* regenerate lost limbs. If examined Gwen would appear to be a woman in her early twenties, with absolutely no sign of aging. It's thought that she will be either extremely long lived if not immortal. HISTORY BLAH Gwen was sadly orphaned due to a road accident one snowy day on a seaside road in New Brunswick. The accident left her comatose and the lone survivor. As she struggled on life support, an intense battle raged to take her off the equipment and let her join her family in death. They were about to pull theplug on her when she... changed. Physically she resembled some kind of elfin being, and when she woke, she thought of herself as an elven sorceress from another world and, recovering, took her injury settlement money and created a fashion empire from it. She has mostly stayed off the radar in a world full of mutants and mystics, having her own adventures with all sorts of strange beings; one set of adventures being a hint at an origin of a hither to unknown race that classically have been called the Sidhe. She is beginning to uncover clues that there is, in fact. a secret underground world where these intensely powerful beings are manipulating the world - but as yet she has no proof.
