Mystique frowned as a communicator went off as she watched Spiral talking to Abaddon. "Hold that thought," the shapeshifter said as she looked at the message from Draven. "Actually, Abaddon, I have another party I am contracted out to, one I know a bit better than you. Folks, that was Wesker. He's taken care of his personal business and wants me to join him on his next business venture. And of course you are welcome to join me, Spiral."
"Wesker?" Alexandria asked as her eyes grew wide. "The Wesker?"
"Oh God, you want to meet him?" Mystique said as she rolled her eyes. "Great. Spiral, I'm not going to make a decision for you on this one, but I am contracted out to Wesker. You can take Vic with you and go to wherever these two are from, or you can go with me to help Wesker on his work. I know you two were chatting a bit about how useful you would be in his work, but the decision on where you go is up to you."
"And am I chopped liver?" Lady Mastermind asked very loudly as she tapped her foot on the floor. "I'm with Wesker's team, too, you know."
Mystique shook her head at Lady Mastermind and then looked from Alexandria to the screen where Abaddon was still smiling the cat who ate the whole canary farm. "I can speak to Wesker and float your names to him. Anything beyond that is up to the man himself."

Spiral glanced back at Mystique as she frowned. She forgot about Wesker. She faced Alexandria while her eyes widened for a second. ''How do you know Wesker?'' she asked.
Spiral turned from Mystique to Alexandria. Her eyes settled on Alexandria prior to a grin. ''I desire my own army,'' she said. Spiral began to glance at Lady Mastermind and Victor.

Mystique couldn't exactly blame Spiral for wanting her own army, but in the back of her mind, she wondered if the time dancer would get an army or get tossed in some stasis unit to be used as a guinea pig. But Spiral was, if nothing else, exceedingly clever. She'd be just fine wherever she wound up.
"Yes, how do you know Wesker?" Mystique asked Alexandria as she looked again at the screen and the grinning Abaddon.
"Just by reputation. He's sort of a legend in our line of work," Alexandria trilled, just like some silly school girl at the prom.
"I see..." Mystique said as she looked at the techno-mage Kilduff. "Spiral, Sabretooth, be careful," she added as she heard Lady Mastermind groan. "I take it you're going off to see the wizard and not Wesker?"
"Yes, I'll seek my fortune with Spiral and Creed," the blonde said as she made a face at her communicator and then put it away.
"No, I don't think so, ladies," Creed said as he dumped the robotic Karenza at his feet and started to exit the room. "I've got a few appointments of my own. You can take the tin can princess with you."
"Victor," Mystique grumbled before she turned back to Spiral. "Perhaps we can use this to all our benefits? You can scout out what they have to offer, and I can see what Wesker has been up to? Seem fair?"

''Lady Mastermind and Sabretooth may accompany me as long as they don't get in my way,'' Spiral said. She was aware of the possibility of becoming a guinea pig. She faced Alexandria. ''I require some proof that you won't betray me. I don't wish to be experimented on AGAIN!'' Spiral began to frown.

"Touchy, touchy! And what exactly do you want me to do to convince you we aren't going to stick electrodes up your..." Alexandria started to say to Spiral before Abaddon cut her off.
"What Dr. Kilduff means to say is this," Abaddon said as he kept smiling at the group in Latveria, "please tell us what you require to reassure you, Spiral. If your request is not overreaching, then perhaps we can do business. You and Lady Mastermind and Sabretooth..."
"Sorry, frosty top, but I ain't going to any world run by the MacFeorais. And as I said, I have other business I need to deal with," Creed said as he looked from the screen to Mystique. "You coming or what?"
"Just a minute," Mystique said as she stood near Spiral. "If I'm going to mention this to Wesker, I want to know about these reassurances, too."
"Please, let's wrap this up," Alexandria said as she kept looking at Doom's teleportation portal. "I do not want to run into Doctor Tin Plate if we don't have to. He's not going to be too thrilled with us leaving, so I'd rather be gone before he returns."

Spiral folded four arms across her chest. Her other two arms were on either side of her body. She frowned in concentration. Spiral viewed Abaddon with Alexandria after a few seconds. ''Hold up your hands so I can see them and give me your word you won't betray me.'' Spiral began to grin. ''What? You thought I was going to ask you to hack off your limbs?''

Alexandria looked at Spiral and could not believe her request. It was simple. Too simple. The techno-mage looked at the screen as Abaddon raised his hands and showed them, back and front, to Spiral. "I promise you that this is a business proposition and nothing more. If, when you get here, things are not to your liking, then you are free to go."
Before Abaddon could speak further, an alarm went off in his lab. He looked down at a screen and frowned. "That idiot brother of yours is making more problems for me, Alexandria. I spare him because he is your kin, but if this continues, I may not be as kind in the future."
"Gar?" Alexandria asked as Abaddon's face grew grim. She paced in the Latverian throne room as Abaddon turned off the alarm.
"No, the other one," the white haired scientist replied. "Spiral, before I have to go and attend to this matter, is this agreement acceptable to you?"

Spiral smiled after her request was granted. She still refused to let her guard down just in case. She tilted her head in curiosity after she heard an alarm. *Brother?* Spiral thought after a sibling was mentioned. A smile formed on her face after Abaddon's question. ''Yes. It's acceptable,'' she said.

Alexandria looked at the screen as Abaddon started to flip switches on his console. "I'm glad this negotiation has been concluded because we should leave now. Abaddon, did you get the container I sent ahead?"
"Yes, yes. If I had not, I would have been in a less pleasant mood," the white haired scientist said as Alexandria opened the portal Doom had used earlier.
"Good, now ladies, if you will follow me," she said to Spiral and Lady Mastermind. "And you are certain you don't want to tag along, Sabretooth?"
"No freaking way am I going to Planet MacFeorais!" Creed yelled over his shoulder as he disappeared from sight.
"Mystique, please make our introductions to Dr. Wesker," Abaddon said over the screen as Raven nodded to him.
"Good luck, Spiral, and Regan, don't drive them nuts, please?" Mystique said as she prepared to exit the room as well.
"Ladies, Londinium awaits!" Alexandria said as the portal shimmered open.

Spiral observed Alexandria opening a portal. A frown materialized on her face. *I guess my talent for creating portals isn't needed* she thought. Spiral glanced at Sabretooth until the latter departed. *I'm certain I will see Mystique and Sabretooth soon* she mused. She stood near Alexandria.

Alexandria could tell Spiral might have been a tad miffed since her talents were not called upon for this exit. "Until the monitoring system in our lab knows what your power signature is, it's best that I do the crossing. I do not want to see you injured by an errant system glitch," she said as she, Spiral and Lady Mastermind into the world once ruled by Ronan the Everlasting. TBC in A Shade More SinisterThread closed
