Oddly enough, D possesses several abilities which are normally acquainted with a demon. Superhuman Strength: D, thanks to his enhanced physiology, possesses a moderate deal of superhuman strength capable of lifting 10 tons under optimal conditions. This is plenty of enough strength lift cars and trucks above his head and toss them a good distance, as well as punching through concrete and denting steel. D knows how to apply his strength properly, allowing him to take on a variety of foes. Superhuman Stamina: D is able to exert himself at peak capacity for twelve before fatigue begins to impair his performance. Superhuman Durability: The composition of D's skeleton, inter-connected tissues, and nervous system are all superior to a human's. His body is somewhat more durable and resistant to damage than an ordinary human, although he's not invulnerable. While his body is tougher than an ordinary human, he can still be injured in ways comparable to an ordinary human. D can be injured by bullets or knives composed of conventional material and from impacts of sufficient force. Regenerative Healing Factor: Should D suffer some damage, such as a gunshot wound, his body is able to rapidly heal itself of damage, allowing him to recover from a variety of wounds in a matter of seconds to minutes. D has healed from being impaled, from explosions, broken bones, severe burns, the loss of limbs and organs, and from being nearly cut in half. Superhuman Speed: D can reach running speeds of about 80 miles per hour for sustained periods, but generally opts against it and uses regular transport instead. Superhuman Agility: D's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits. Superhuman Reflexes: D's reflexes are several times greater than those of the average human. He's able to respond to various attacks faster than the average person and could possibly dodge gunfire if he were far enough away and had enough time to respond to the situation. Telepathy: D is a low level telepath, capable of reading the minds of others with weak protection against psionic intrusion and communicating with others. Mental Link: Dcan develop a mental link with any person, allowing him to communicate with them even when they're out of range. This also allows him to know the state of the connected person, especially when they're in danger. Telekinesis: D can, psionically, levitate himself and others, as well as other objects. Force Fields: D can use the psionic energy to form nigh transparent walls or domes, protecting himself and others from harm. The maximum width of the TK fields is ten feet. Flight: D is able defy gravity to propel himself through the air with telekinetic force. His maximum speed is unknown. Teleportation: Through unknown means, D is able to disperse his body, causing him to vanish from sight, and appear in another location. He's able to take up to one other person with him when he teleports, and is restricted to his line of sight or to places he can picture in his head. His maximum teleporting distance is unknown, and since this is a rarely used move, it's likely to be less than a mile. Demonic Transformation: D has the ability to transform his appearance, becoming more demonic in appearance and increasing his physical attributes. He's never bothered to use this form, and doesn't even know what it looks like. Energy Redirection: A little known and scarcely used ability of D's is the ability to take various sources of energy projection, be it lightning, magic, or any other, absorb said sources of energy and convert them into D's own energy source and re-direct them back at their source with compounding force. The process of absorbing and converting energy is strenuous and incredibly harmful for D and usually follows up with the limb used to absorb the energy becoming stiff and swollen and increasing his difficulty to breathe and function. The more he uses the ability and the more powerful attacks he uses this ability on, the more harmful it is to his body, and could likely kill him. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Expert Swordman: D is a samurai, classically trained, and is an expert in using all manner of Japanese bladed weapons Martial Artist: D is well versed in all manner of Japanese fighting styles, from ancient to modern styles. WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT: A modified Nodachi and a Kodachi. WEAKNESSES: D feels pain just like every other person. He can be stabbed, shot, and pushed out of an airplane, and he will recieve pain. Although he's immortal, extensive trauma like decapitation or extreme mutilation would most likely kill him. HISTORY D was born sometime during the Sengoku period of Japan, an era of constant war. During this time, it was best for everyone to learn how to fight, just in case you were drafted or there was a sudden attack. Like many during that time, D trained constantly, and eventually, his clan engaged in the war, allying with others to form a military. D sometimes came out as the only survivor during many of the wars, and many dubbed him as the "Man with great fortune". Eventually, that lucky streak would come to an end when D was struck in the chest by a cannonball. Many throught he was dead, but in a matter of seconds, he had risen to his feet, with the hole in his body reformnig into his chest. That was when he knew he was something different. After that battle, he left Japan and wengt on a journey throughout the world. He traveled to many places across Asia and Europe, eventually finding himself in South America living with local mystics. While on the continent, he trained himself and discovered the rest of his powers, then headed for England. While in England, through a strange string of events, D eventually became a "hunter", finding and defeating everything from Vampire's to Werewolve's. His journey evetntually lead him to someone just like him, a man named Excaleus. They quickly became friends and traveled the world together, and encountering many battles with creatures of the night and various other groups who seeked to kill the two for being "Satan spawn". They quickly grew tired of this and in the 1700's, they both went back to their home lands. Using telepathy, they stayed in contact with each other, until 1906 due to certain circumstances in their lives. Years passed, as well as a World War, and D managed to have a normal life after ending his tenure during WWl. During World War II, Japan had a draft and pulled in people into the military. Not wanting to be in another war for Japan, D refused, several times. The government ordered for him to be arrested, but the police were simply defeated, so the "secret police" were sent to kill him. When they met up, obviously there was a fight. During D's battle with the men, he was impaled on a broken wooden pillar. Thinking that he was dead, the men started to leave. While they had their backs turned, D quickly rose to his feet, with the pillar still through him and attacked the men, badly injuring them. He decided not to kill them and left Japan once again and went to America were he was constantly harassed by the masses due to the tension between the majoirty of the United States and those of Japanese decent. He ignored them all, even managing to avoid being sent to an internment camp, and lived a normal life. In 1976, D left America and headed for England to see if he could find his long lost friend. While D was in London, he ran into Excaleus, who had now changed his name into Dante, who also had a new friend known as Alucard. After a long discussion with Alucard to fill in his lost time, the trio went off to wander the world, fighting demons and the like. One such occasion 30 years later created a meeting between the three and the X-Men, whom saved the three from an untimely death. Eventually, Dathey all followed the X-Men back to Xavier's mansion and, for various reasons, decided to stay at the mansion. After escaping the chaos in Dimension X thanks to the aid of the X-Men, Dante, Daiyei, and Alucard maintained ties with the team but continued to wander the world, fighting supernatural threats, though they have returned from time to time to aid when needed.
